An Excursive Mind

Here’s a photo I took of some amazing cover artwork from the “Reading for Men” book series. This 1958 edition features an excerpt from “Summons from Baghdad” by Allan MacKinnon as it’s cover story. The cover illustration really caught my eye when I stumbled upon this at a thrift store. I knew I had to have it. Basically all the covers for the “Reading for Men” books are incredible. You can pick them up for just a few bucks on ebay. They make great decorating items.
“Summon from Baghdad” was originally published by Crime Club - DoubleDay & Co. in 1958. Also featured in this edition are excerpts from “The Sledge Patrol” by David Howarth, “Brainstorming” by Charles Clark, “Pictorial History of The American Circus” by John and Alice Durant and “Last Voyage” by Warren Armstrong.
