An Excursive Mind

Here’s a great limited edition series of workplace posters by design studio collective Division of Labor. They printed these the old fashioned way, using letterpress on card stock. The heavy lifting was done by the printers at Tribune Showprint in Earl Park, Indiana, described by DOL as, “bourbon drinking printers pulling type out of drawers and swearing at us every time we made changes.” Naturally they sound like good guys to me.
The series was originally just a design project. Posting them out their windows created some instant demand, transforming these “designers only” into “sometimes retailers”. You can buy sets here while they last.
Division of Labor is the joint creative studio of Creative Directors Josh Denberg and Paul Hirsch, with Executive Producer Julie Costanzo.
